Our bioplastic cup lids are made from plants, not oil and are certified industrially compostable to AS4736. These lids are suitable for our cold paper BioCups.
Designed and produced specifically for our BioCups to ensure a leak-proof seal every time.
Strict quality control standards ensure critical tolerances are maintained and guarantee a leak-free secure fit every time.
Our PLA bioplastic lids are made from Ingeo™, an innovative bioplastic made from rapidly renewable plant-based resources. Manufacturing Ingeo produces approximately 80% less greenhouse gases and uses approximately 52% less non-renewable energy (NREU) than traditional polymers like polystyrene.
BioPak's PLA bioplastic lids are certified industrially compostable to AS4736 and EN13432 standards, allowing you to divert waste from landfill wherever commercial compost facilities are available.
These cup lids are banned in WA from 1 March 2024. Our plant fibre lids are a compliant alternative. Australian states are implementing single-use plastic bans. Read More>
Clear and accurate data is essential to understanding our impact on the environment and finding solutions to reduce it. The label below shows how a carton of this product impacts our planet. As a leader in sustainable packaging, this label is our way of being transparent, accountable, and committed to combating greenwashing.
The eco-cost below, calculated per carton, offers our customers a straightforward metric to understand and compare the environmental impacts of our products. Please note that it is not a hidden or added fee to the product's market price.
The eco-cost is independently calculated across four categories – biodiversity loss, effects on human health, material scarcity, as well as the more standard carbon emissions. BioPak utilises this data to identify areas with the greatest potential for environmental impact reduction, it is our job to reduce the eco-cost and your impact.
